In adventure racing, a sport that demands unparalleled determination, leadership, and endurance, Teri Smith shines. Unlike traditional team sports, an adventure racer’s individual success is determined by the collective performance of their team. Teamwork is paramount as the athletes negotiate treacherous terrain and Mother Nature’s most unforgiving elements.

Aided by a remarkable ability to inspire and lead her teammates through mental, and often times, physical exhaustion, Teri has quickly accelerated through the ranks of adventure racers. After countless successes, Teri has established herself as one of sport’s most endearing personalities.

Although adventure racing has challenged Teri’s mental and physical resolve, her life’s greatest obstacles were not encountered in competition. As a cancer survivor, Teri has been successful in life by drawing from her adventure racing experiences. Teri is passionate about sharing her inspirational story of how she overcame tremendous adversity.
